We crafters love our sewing machines. They are powerful little tools that do a lot of work and make the work of sewing a lot easier. They perform lots of tasks, come in different sizes and weights and if you happen to own one of the smaller, lighter machines or one of the high speed versions you understand the frustration of keeping the darn thing still and vibration-free while you sew.
The solution is a good quality sewing machine mat that will absorb the constant motion caused by vibrations of a lightweight or high speed sewing machine in action. The mat measures 15-1/2 by 18-1/2 and is a solid 1/4 inch thick. The top surface of the mat is textured and the bottom is “grippy” helping to keep the machine in place and protecting the surface underneath.
The mat does a great job of muffling the sound and keeping the bouncing around to a minimum while you work on getting your sewing project done.
